This Willys was fabricated out of aluminum in a custom shop near Everett WA.

Geez that's cool. Did they polish in the flames?

Willys

It was fabricated by Walt Austin at his shop near Bellingham. He used an English rolling wheel and a sheetmetal brake. He says it will never be painted and the flames are polished. Its even more impressive in person.

Hmmmm. After seeing the flames, now I'm starting to reconsider my polish job. Do you know if he covered the matt finish and then polished, or did he polish everything, then etch? I'm starting to think about doing flames or some other design over my whole airstream. That is really cool. Maybe huge script that says Wally's Caravan or something.

That car truly is amazing. Hat's off.

Rob, The body was polished, then taped then thef lames were etched. He is having some pinstripe work done and I'm having the same guy do my AS. Just above the licence plate bracket and arounfd the door handle area.
