Exclamation Trying to wire new TV w/ brake controller - which wires go where?

hola folks,

we bought a 'new to us' 2011 F150. We are attempting to wire in the brake controller for our weekend trip tomorrow a.m.

We have the brake controller with 4 wires - black, white, red, blue.

The wires from the truck are as follows;
black (with white stripe), blue, red, white, and three small white wires.

What goes where? Any help is much appreciated - Google has failed us in this particular attempt, so we turn to you, the experts

Got the instructions that came with the brake controller? It should identify what the wires are and how to connect it. On the controller, the wires most likely are: White is ground, blue is to the trailer brakes, black is probably the activation wire from the truck brake pedal, and red is +12 VDC power. No guarentees though.

Is your truck pre-wired for towing and plugging in an electric brake controller? If yes, then you probably have the wrong connector.

Ford in the past had a simple plug in for installing a brake controller. What brand and model brake controller do you have? has a large number of instructional videos on how to install trailer equipment... I would also check there.

You can get a controller from Ford that fits right into the dash just right of the steering wheel.
