Of course - with the GMC\Chevy folks getting so many jabs in lately (especially with a very nice victory tow-off via I-70 in the Rockies) I had to put something up that looked good since I'm now in the "Ford Camp"...

That being said - I think the consensus WITH EVERYONE RIGHT NOW IS THAT both the Ford & Chevy\GMC trucks are pretty damn nice - picking a winner is going to be up to what is most important to the buyer....

Now if Dodge could take the best of both trucks and build it into theirs they would be the KING by far!!!!

When I visited the article link, there was an "X" box on the ad where you could click it closed.

$58K for the Denali, $40k for the stripper gasser. WOW. I guess I will be hanging on to my '03 Dmax for a while as it is still (knocking wood) getting the job done in fine style AND IT'S PAID OFF.

In reality, don't think you can go wrong with any of them, although the new Ford diesel needs to prove it's reliability for a few years. I still like the DMAX/Allison combo myself. That tranny is tough to beat. I would like the new engine brake though, it would come in handy in the mountains, too bad it doesn't sound like a "Jake" brake, but that it just the old trucker in me....

I agree. The Allison is just about bullet proof. I knew guys that had them in tri axels and they never needed the jake. But Im glad my 2000 PS is paid for. I can live with it as long as it keeps goin. Sal.

If you hit F5 on PC or Command-R on Mac you can reload the page and the ad went away for me.

That was another example of content-free "journalism": Heavy Duty, but no heavy duty testing worth a spit. A 6k load can be towed by a mini-van.

Had they been up against the limit for a TT (not a 5'er or gooseneck) then it might have been worthwhile.

There wasn't anything here a ten year old truck couldn't have done easily or comparably.

The new Duramax can burn biodiesel, I would think that a fuel system that can handle that crap would last forever burning straight diesel.
