My CrewMax with a 5.5' bed turns as tight as my much smaller Nissan PathFinder.
There are 2 four door cabs- DoubleCab is basically an extended cab and CrewMax is the full four doors.
It is big- wide and long and tall- doesn't fit most parking spaces- parking garages are impossi le-

I went with the double cab, not the crew cab. It has a smaller back seat. It also has a 6.5' bed vs a 5.5' bed (I think that's the bed for the crewmax)
I seldom have anyone in the back seat, and I often have stuff in the bed. Like a motorcycle.. There is a 8' bed on the double cab. The truck does seem very long. I can fit my double cab with the 6.5' bed in the garage. No way would the 8' double cab fit in the garage.
I would imagine the 8' bed rides a bit smoother, but the ride is acceptable on the shorter bed. (IMHO)
It's a tight fit in a parking garage with the 6.5' bed. The 8' would really be fun to park..
Great trucks, either way..

After 9 years and 110,000 mostly towing miles, we have traded in the 2007 Tundra. It was the best truck I have ever owned and it took our trailer from coast to coast several times and never let us down. We have many more miles ahead this coming year and it made perfect sense to trade up.

I forgot to mention that the new truck is a 2016 Tundra. Same color and same body style. We did upgrade to a Limited from the SR5 to get the leather heated seats.

The seat color is based on the exterior color. The seats in the Limited Silver truck are black leather.

The next thing I need to do is get a new smartphone which is more compatible with the on board media system. My wife's Samsung works fine, but my Droid Max is lacking.

Uh huh.
In my model year the seats in the silver truck were gray.
There were years in the past where trim level designated seat color-
Limited- gray
Platinum- black
1794- brownish/natural/basketball
Come to think of it, I have seen a new Limited with tan seats.
Black is what's up, like our '14 Avalon- silver with black interior-

Congrats on the new truck. It'll be a long time before I'm ready to get rid of my 2012. I don't like black seats. Show more dirt, and are hotter in the sun. Grey would work better for me. Good thing we have choices.
Does the 16 get better mileage than the 07? I guess it depends if you went with the bigger V8 this time, was it avail in 07?

Glad to hear that you got a new Tundra. I am still very happy with the reliability and the drivetrain of my 08 SR5. I would not mind upgrading the media system if that were possible. Does anybody know if that is an option?

There are kid's auto audio upgrade shops that can install anything from a plain radio to a CPR machine (from the extremely loud sub-woofers).

Good luck with your new truck Richard, the Grey interior looks great, we have black in our 12 and can't. Keep it clean. We are at 75,000 miles on the 12 and had 120,000 on the 07. Loved the 07, the 12 not so much. Let me know how it does pulling your AS, the 12 is not nearly as strong I think in part because of the flex fuel V8--even though I have.never used e-85 in it. The flex fuel part has had 3 recalls so far, even though it has been reliable think we are headed to another brand (Ford?) next time. In the meantime we continue to groan over most of this great country and even louder over each mountain. See you on the road!

What does the yellow load sticker on your door show as available load? Do you have the 38 gallon fuel tank?

I don't think Toyota has ever addressed the size of its fuel tank. I wish they would, but I wouldn't make that a big factor in selecting a truck.
Mine has the e85 flex fuel option. Knock on wood, I've never had a problem, and have been getting 17-19 mpg, with more power than I need.
I'd like to get over 20 mpg. Don't know why, it's just a number.
