? Towing with F-150 EcoBoost ?

Are you towing an AS Flying Cloud 25FB with the subject vehicle? If so, how is your TV set up? I'm considering this as a TV and I'm not a math major, but I can't get the weight numbers to add up to SAFETY. If you are not towing the 25FB with this vehicle, please disregard this thread. Thanks.

What doesn't add up?

New to towing myself but here is what I have so far. F150 Lariat Echo Boost, 3.73 rear end. The numbers seem to add up. With only 300 miles towing I am getting about 11.3 mpg (18+ not towing) Plenty of power and acceleration. When in tow haul mode you do consume a little more fuel but the tranny and engine are syncing well and going down hill almost no need to touch the brakes as the engine and tranny are doing its job.

Haven't towed mine in the hills yet, but it behaved just fine coming down the Jersey shore to Virginia. I couldn't feel a significant difference between my old monster Chevy Silverado 2500 Diesel (2008) and the new 2013 Ford F-150 Ecoboost 372 rear end.

To be totally honest though... I towed the new 25 Eddie Bauer home without all my crap in it. I have cleaned out a lot of stuff that I wonder how I ever collected, so it will be a while (if ever) before I load down either the A/S or the tow vehicle with the stuff (weight) I had on the Safari.

Tows nicely. I'll head to visit Sister Karen in Ohio - and the mothership - sometime in September. That will test it through West Virginia's mountains.

It's a heck of a better daily driver - turns in only 3 lanes instead of needing 4 in the opposite direction

Not fair - you have the Max Tow package!

Hey Willb43, what is your MaxPayload - that is the only way you can start to figure out if the numbers are correct.

Congrats. You will love the truck and the AS. Lots to learn about the truck but it will all come together.
