Towing Mirrors for 2015 RAM 1500

I recently received my 2015 RAM 1500 and I messed up when I ordered it. I got all the towing stuff (hitch, brake controller etc.) but I forgot the towing mirrors. The standard mirrors I received on the truck are not so standard, Laramie options. They are chromed, electric fold back and have the integrated blinker/turning lights mounted on the bottom of the mirrors. What I am painfully finding out is that no one I can find has made a slip/clip on tow mirror for the 2015 RAM 1500 mirror, yet. Even the universal ones the manufactures say no because of the bulge the blinker unit makes on the bottom of the mirror but they are working on it.

I have only talked to one RV supplier that they know of this problem and heard there is currently only one solution available as of yet. And that is the Milenco Grand Aero universal snap on mirrors. I checked them out on Amazon and Youtube and they have high rating and are very pricey.

Does anyone have any insight into what snap on mirror will work with my model/config RAM mirror and if the Milenco Grand Aero mirrors will work?

Hang on a mo - are these the mirrors you can rotate 90 degrees for towing? That's what we have on our 2014 Ram 1500. They look normal, but you grab them and rotate them 90 degrees to a vertical position and they become nice towing mirrors. They work quite well for us. If that's not what you have, maybe you could persuade your dealer to swap yours for these.

Did you ask your dealer if he could install the Ram towing mirrors?

We have been looking. Apparently the towing mirrors cannot have the power fold option from the factory. Here are some replacements with various options, maybe one of these would work for you.

What Rockinante said. You grab the mirror at the center of the arm and rotate it up. Instead of outboard, the wide angle portion is now at the bottom. There are several other threads where people have asked the same question only to learn they already have tow mirrors.

I screwed up like you did and didn't get the Ram mirrors....the Milencos work good but have a little vibration. Much better than the Cipas at Camping World. The Milencos are secure and don't fall off

We demo'd a Ram with power fold AND towing mirrors. If you don't have them, perhaps a retrofit.

The ones I wanted are the ones you have. Stupid me! I am sure I can convince the dealer of something but it just always seems like a shocker $$.

That is good to hear. There is a dealer near by that has a set I am going to try on today. In the mid term I will try them out and see if I need to go the extra $$ and get factory or similiar retro fit towing mirrors. My new 25 does not come in till June but I have to take my 1996 21' Classic in to have it appraised tomorrow. The current factory mirrors I can't see anything...well actually I can but it is all silver:-) Thanks for the experience feedback.

You can just buy them. Guys buy them all the time on the Ram forums from 1A auto. It's like a 15 minute job to swap them out per door.

For my 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie I bought these from Amazon for about $45.00http://www.amazon.com/Fit-System-807...ype=automotive
I have used these 5 times with no issues. The mirror auto fold also works with no issues and the mirror light cutout fits the mirrorperfectly. My son-in-law also bought these for his 2015 Ram 1500 and has had no issues.

I bought a pair of Milencos for the 2015 RAM. They work fantastic! Thank you for the tip. Also, I am super impressed with the fit, finish and quality. I wish all accessories were built this well.

Try these from PPL Motorhomes online. "Grand Aero Clip On". I have the same truck a RAM Laramie Limited with all the bells & whistles but no tow mirrors. They're easy on & off, don't vibrate in motion & the field of vision is perfect. Priced at 94.50 and you won't be disappointed, just be careful when power folding the mirrors.

That is what I purchased. I should have used the model name instead of the manufacture 'Milenco'.
