2air
My 34 has a sofa slide, so I have the vista windows across the front, but I also like the skylight. I do have 2 ACs.

34' on craigslist
If you haven't found your 34 yet you might look on Craigslist Tampa Bay Florida. There is one for sale for $29. Not sure if that's a good deal or not.

I pull a 2007 31' Classic with a 2002 F250 Powerstroke Diesel Crewcab 2WD. Truck has 110,000 miles. We took the AS to Yellowstone last year. Leaving Yellowstone we drove from Cody WY to Ranchester on US 14 through the Bighorn Mountains. This is likely one of the steepest grades you will find on a US highway. My Classic weighs over 7k lbs and has a GVW of 10K. We had no problem going up or down these grades.

I would be interested on how a Ford Edge might perform with a 34' going up/down such grades?
War eagle, by the way.

I full-timed in a 2010 Classic 30' for 14 months. I upgraded to a 2011 Classic 34' at the beginning of this year and continue to full-time. I absolutely love the flipped layout. The dinette is now on the curbside with a view of the campsite, tailgate, lake, etc. rather than looking at my neighbors. The additional wardrobe space of the 34' is unbeatable for full-timing. The slightly larger shower is nice. I really enjoy the TV in the bedroom! I have the two A/C units, but I'm undecided if I like it. The front unit is now further from the bedroom for single unit operations. But, the bedroom unit is quite loud for sleeping. And, it moves a lot of air making for a drafty night sleep. I'm on Lake Travis west of Austin, TX so summer's scorching temps may well offset the noise level. Time will tell. I returned this past Thursday from a 5,500 mile trip with the new 34'. Very smooth and tracks great. The rear swing is a bit more pronounced, but quick to get used to. The additional tire roll or scraping sounds when parking (slow tight turns) is something to get used to for sure. The one main disappointment with the new 34' vs the 30' is I forgot to add the generator outlet to the front. It was so nice to have generators in truck bed with power cord connected right by the propane compartment. I presume the resale of a 34' will maintain slightly better (%-wise) than a 30/31' simply due to smaller supply. 2011 only yielded 25 units. I could be wrong though based on the "biggest house in the neighborhood isn't a valuable selling point" concept. I won't be parting with mine for a long, long time though.

Good post - thanks for sharing your experience.
I sure thought the front gen outlet was standard on all Classic Limiteds. I didn't specify that in the order of my 30, didn't see it as an option on the order spec sheet. Sure hope it comes with one.

I added a front connection to mine...it's on a thread called "miles and miles of aluminum"...this iPad won't let me hold this page and locate another. I'll look for it.
On edit...here it is

You are fine, however I would recommend a Hensley. That is a HUGE advantage!

F-250 tow
I have a 34 ft airstream and was towing with a F350 crew cab dually which I still have. I just bought a F-250 FX4 extended cab with a 6.0 diesel. I am in Texas right now with truck and trailer 700 miles from home. The F-250 is an excellant tv for the 34 ft. I love the way the auto transmission handles the engine brakeing when in tow and haul. I could not be better pleased with my truck.

Gotta love a 34. Nothing like 'em. Glides along, backs easy , sure looks good going down the road. When you get there the space is wonderful. It's been said before, they all look the same in the rear view mirror.

Just as I thought it couldn't get any better. Had an 08 to tow my 26' & 32'. Now I traded for a 2011. Wow! Even better. Can't beat the new engine and now a 6speed trans. Breaking is amazing too. I can even program up to I think 8 trailers to keep track of Millage and to set break resistance for each airstream so you don't have to remember where to set it for that trailer. Wow!!
