Look at the photobucket! What a fulltimers dream. It even gives one a spare bedroom - handy if too much 5 bean dip and beer have been consumed and someone's resulting methane releases could set off the CO detector!

I was ready to pop on this, and then I saw the price tag.

Also in that thread was Smokeless Joe's awesome Sprinter chassis with Mini on the back towing that stunning (inside and out) Argosy. I think all in he was selling that rig sub-$100k (to a couple in VT I think?). I love my rig but if I had $100k I wasn't doing anything with, I'd have loved to have snagged that up!

Just another great example of Bruce's point - one size doesn't fit all. Plenty to appreciate in everyone's different views whether we understand or agree with them.

After reading some of these TV posts to my wife, she said "Wouldn't it be easier for these guys to just step into the restroom with a ruler and settle this thing?"

You know, there are a lot of Avions that you run across that are missing the front rock guard.

THAT is the best fix I have ever seen for a missing rock guard! And, you can still pull your boat!

I love it!!!

The turning radius might be astonishing with that long of a wheel base.

Some years ago when I decided go sell my Freightliner and thought nobody wanted it, I thought about that concept. Read a lot about others who did it. Then sold the tractor. I still think that Cat 4 and a quarter would have done a fine job but a little cumbersome I suppose.

TVs and hitches are entertaining forum threads, but if you filter out the egos, there is helpful information that drops out. I knew at some point I would upgrade my TV to better handle the mountains and all of the exchanges helped narrow down to what was the right solution for me. Thanks Airforum members!

This is a "half full" (as opposed to a half empty...) viewpoint!

Data, please. The turning circle might be better than expected, but such a long vehicle seems like it would take a lot of space to turn, even with little forward motion as one might achieve with individual tire braking.

What is considered good enough? 40ft, 50ft, 60ft?

The pictured truck looks to have a wheel base close to the length of the trailer. Would that be 30 ft (360")? And the 2 axles would need to skid a bit, yes? They do look like singles and not duals which would help.

Seems an excessive design, except for the environment it was designed to travel, the interstate highway with full design specification turns. Seems destined to improve your back and fill experience and ability.

That truck is completely pointless. If you go to that size vehicle, just go all the way and get yourself a Class A. Far more usable space and built to do the job.

There is no Class A moho as beautiful as a Kenworth W900 in my opinion.

Perhaps the truck was in hand and the owner(s) could do the modifications themselves. With all those fuel tanks, this would be a real long distance driver and probably has a generator on the other side. All kinds of modifications to the black and gray tanks would be possible so this rig could be in a remote space for quite awhile.

There are quite a few "one of" vehicles using an Airstream as part of the deal.
