Tow Vehicle?

We notice a lot of good reviews on the F150 V6 with ecoboost. Does anyone tow with a F150 V8 and how has your experience been? Looked at a lot of threads but have not found opinions on the V8 so would appreciate your comments.

Jump over to the Ford forum and read all about the F150, towing, the 5.0, the 6.2, the ecoboost, it's all there.

it depends upon what you are towing and how much it weighs and what kind of terrain will you travel accross. Mountain grades or Florida flatland? I have a 32 ft Airstream Excella and weigh in at 6600 lbs when ready for camping and my 2007 Ford F250 6 liter diesel pulls my trailer like its not even back there.

My son and I ordered a pair of matching 2013 F150's a few years back. Mine had the 3.5 EB, his the 5.0 V8. Both trucks have been run now over 100k with extensive towing with both. We ordered his with the V8 feeling it would be more reliable for the long haul. Both engines have been fine in that regard but no comparison with power, especially towing in the mountains, the 3.5 EB is just so much better. In hindsight, it was a mistake to order his with the V8. Hope this helps.
