I laughed when they called it the baby Ecoboost. The "baby" Ecoboost is a sub one litre three cylinder used in the Fiesta/Focus. Then there are the four 4 cylinder Ecoboost engines. This is the second largest displacement Ecoboost.
This 2.7 litre has 45 hp/50 lb-ft more than my first Expedition (5.4) had, and 110 hp/90 lb-ft more than my second Expedition (4.6) had. They were both 4 speed automatics as well; this is a six speed. The first truck was rated to tow 8100 lb. Times have changed.
Seems like lots of power and good performance. Cue the "no substitute for cubic inches" responses
