Tow Mirror Recommendations

What do you recommend for extended tow mirrors for a 2013 F-150?

I would look for a low price source for Ford OEM tow mirrors. I own a Chevy and found an online parts seller called GM Parts Direct that offers OEM parts very close to the price of third party after market parts. No doubt there is a similar online dealer of OEM Ford parts. With GM I found the OEM tow mirrors to be better quality (less mirror shake) than the after market mirrors I tried.

Here is an example of an online Ford OEM parts dealer. A search for "tow mirrors" on the attached website will give many OEM tow mirrors to look over.

I use the Cipa mirrors that slip over the original F-150 mirrors. Very stable with excellent visibility.

Any discussion of towing mirrors should not go without a plug for McKesh. We really like ours.

I use and like Aero2 mirrors. They have knobs and rubber clamping things that attach to the stock truck mirror.

I recently purchased the Arrow2 also. Best mirrors so far for my 2005 Toyota. Very stable even at 70 miles an hour.

Hi, the only choice that I would have for a new F-150 would be the factory tow mirrors. I have the CIPA on my Lincoln because I didn't have that choice.

Milenco's for us. About $100, work as advertised on the F150 or F250.

I vote for the Aero2 mirrors. The Cipa's look better but they blew off. I have had no problem with the Aero2's. I also have an F150.

Add another happy camper to the Aero2 mirror list. We really like ours. Easy to put on and remove, plus they seem very stable without a lot of the vibration other brands seem to have, nor I have I heard of any Aero2 mirrors blowing off any trucks. If I had the need, I would buy these again, they are a good product.

Thanks to everyone for the input. I decided to go with the Aero 2. Ordered through Amazon this AM. $92.10. Free shipping, no tax.

Agreed Robertsunrus, that would be the best choice. I bought a used truck so I needed something different. It sounds as if Will has the truck already. Will, the Milenco and Aero 2 are the same. They do have different model mirrors but the larger Aero 2 models are what I pictured. They work on an F150 with no problem. I even sold a pair this spring to a camper in Nokomis at a campground who had a new F150 truck similar to mine (2009) who saw them and inquired about them. He told me the next day he had ordered a pair.

Good choice. I really like them on my Nissan. Since I did not need them to be really wide, I cut the rod to a shorter than standard length, so that I could tuck it in closer and fold the mirror back without any interference between the rod and door of the truck. It's nice to be able to fold the mirror in while parked in camp so that they don't get bumped into when someone walks by.

Also, placed vertically like this, it is easy to keep an eye on the trailer tires in the mirror. Handy for parking lot and other tight places and also on the highway.
