I am very happy with my 3/4 ton Suburban.

So when is this..."old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

Do some research/search on the forum re the Buick Enclave. They seem to be very popular for towing Airstreams..

"The Enclave owner is retired from GM and has been towing since the early 70's with a couple of dozen different tow vehicles, everything from Suburbans, Pick Ups, to sedans and vans. He feels the Enclave is the best tow vehicle he has used."
Airstreams..... The best towing trailers on the planet!

We tow our FC25 FB with a late model Navigator, which replaced the grand Cherokee. The Nav is only used for towing, the GC is now my wife's DD. The Nav is a big fat whale and a gas guzzler, but oh so comfortable to drive. Just not quite as agile as my DD, a Porsche 991 Carrera 4S.

The new Expedition with the 3.5 ecoboost would be a great towing machine. If you want something that'll have similar refinement to the Acura you should look at the Lincoln Navigator (the new one with the ecoboost)

Now, I personally prefer (and own) a GM SUV. The new Yukons and Tahoes are great and the Denali version comes with a fantastic 6.2 V8 and 8 speed transmission. I bought the XL version of that one.

Either of these would be a great choice.

I think the OP probably got his question answered...back in 2011.

If you'd like to tell everyone you drive a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, just start a new thread in the "off topic lounge" area.

Work is never done, so take time to play!

The intended reference was to the Navigator being less than "precise" in its road handling. I know there are several German car owners on this forum, including one professional driver. Sorry if my comment struck you as inappropriate.
