Suburban shock replacement

I know this is slightly off topic, but I value the info I gather here so much I wanted to ask the following:

I need new shocks for my 1994 Suburban 454 K2500. Does anyone have a recommendation for replacements?

Thanks,

Craig

I like Bilsteins, you may get a good price at www.shox.com

I have them installed on my Impala SS and they really do a great job and helped a bunch when I use to tow our 25' Safari with it. They are not a shock to buy if you want Cadillac style suspension though.....

94 Suburban

We have a 94 GMC Suburban 3/4 ton with a 454 and we replaced the shocks a year or so ago with Monroe Reflex, part #s 911050 and 911085 . They gave it a little harder ride than what it was when new but not that much. It was about $242. with free installation at NTB. We would get them again if we needed another set on it.

Bilsteins work really well when towing. They are very stiff, however, when driving empty. The control and handling you gain with them is amazing.
My Chevy dealer had recommended Edelbrock shocks for Suburbans in HD use. He said they're progressive, providing a softer damper when empty, and become progressively stiffer as the load increases.
I can't picture a passive shock doing this, so I bought the Bilsteins.
