Talking Suburban and Sovereign

Just bought this 2001 2500 Suburban 4X4 with 36,000 miles on it. Now that I have a tow vehicle I can fetch my 76 Sovereign. ( only 600 miles away)

Interested in knowing how things go. We are using a 2001 1500 Suburban. No issue conserns with weight or suspension. With gas the way it is, we have been hesitant to be agressive with acceleration. What motor is in your 2500?

The motor is 8.1 litre Vortex with the heavy duty transmission and the factory tow package. Does anyone know exactly which transmission was used with this motor?

Good morning all. Finally got my tin dream, a 1971 Trade Winds bunk house! I am looking at a 1999 Suburban 6.5 diesel with 66,000 miles on it. Does anyone out there have any experience with this unit? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cam.
