Smart Tow Vehicle?

Smart Cars are all over these parts: they're built locally, and can park anywhere. But I did a double take on this one.

Reckon it can tow an Airstream... Christmas ornament?

It is probably for the trailer they use to haul their groceries.

Of course, it still is not as strange as the time I saw one parked in a cart corral. A cart corral is the enclosed space set aside for shopping carts in a parking lot.

One of our neighbours has a hitch on his Smart and is often seen dragging a small utility trailer around town. Whether he has groceries in the trailer I really couldn't say!

I could easily see it used for towing a small tent trailer (such as the type towed by motorcycles) or utility trailer.
