I made that very point of Toyota was second only to Lexus (still Toyota) on another thread.
I'm Toyota for life, but my Tundra is overloaded according to the new J2807 standard. The tow capacity went down 3,000# when J2807 was adopted.
So much for towing the space shuttle-

The only Toyotas that are not "recommended" by Consumer Reports are the Rav4 and Yaris-

73 over lander weight?

I am looking at a sequoia today to tow my airstream. It will be my daily driver also. It has an after market hitch which I know isn't great but it's a good car and seems to be my best option. I can't find the weights on my phone so I'm sorry to ask such a dumb question. Any help me out or tell me which category has the weights? 73 over lander. I don't put much in it. Very light load
Thanks!!

1974 OVERLANDER INTERNATIONAL LY 27 TWIN
Dry weight: 4575 Hitch weight: 515

1974 OVERLANDER INTERNATIONAL LY 27 DOUBLE
Dry weight: 4600 Hitch weight: 500

These are dry weights. There should be a plate in front of your Airstream specifying GVWR.
