I agree. The truck builders/marketers are still not with it when it comes to the aerodynamic advantage, especially vehicle towing and Airstream.

My guess is that an aerodynamic front end on a pickup might look to much like a Mini Van and we all know that won't work.

Wow Erick!
That's some reply. I realize many guys need some way the fluf up the plumage to give the illusion of size and therefore need to increase the size of their ride, but never considered adding sirens and bells to the mix.

And you know what they say about compensating for size with louder mufflers and bigger trucks...

As for streamlining trucks the same marketing rules apply. Most guys are afraid of the girly truck labels their more insecure friends would apply to them. So we get more trucks the size and look of a locomotive.

Your right safari62. I have always used a female designator when discussing all the trucks ive had. "Shes a good one" or "Shes a pig". So why the worry about a "feminine truck"? Hell most girls i know that drive pickups drive "butch" trucks.

While it is against the law for people to put sirens and bells and exhaust whistles on their vehicles (I have thought about mounting a siren to my trailer.... what a doorbell!) I saw an ad for the ultimate in legal noisemakers.

Could you imagine having a annoying motorcyclist blaze past you roaring at full volume, cutting you off and blowing for a crossing right then and there.... hed need to clean his saddle.

I thought of that for my mother. She drives like Cruella DeVille after puppies. But i dont think it would be loud enough for her. And the full size ones won't fit on her car. And she already has a locomotive whistle, she just lacks a steam generator.

Guy, can't we just admit we all like different styles and sizes without saying I must be compensating for something because of the size of my loco-motive F-350?
