Rock Tamers Storage/Removal/Installation

I searched and didn't come up with an answer.

1. With the Rock Tamers installed is hard to remove and install the WD hitch? Seems like it would really difficult to manage the tamers and hitch for removal and installation of the hitch.

2. We normally remove our hitch and put in the bed of the pickup to secure it. What do with the Tamers installed? We thought we just put them under the AS hitch and run cable thought the hitch and secure to the AS.

We usually leave the Rock Tamers (RTs) attached to the shank and place them both behind the trailer once we have unhooked. Given the weight of the 2 together it is very unlikely they will just "walk off". When I say "we" I mean the GW and myself, as this is one of those times both are required for the job of removing and carrying the combo to the back of the trailer.

There are other times that I have separated the RTs from the shank and placed them both in the truck box. I loosen the RTs hub from the shank before I remove it from the receiver. I then pull the shank from the receiver, allowing it to tip away from me and the RTs just slip off on to the ground.
