Right tow mirrors?

My 2010 Ram2500 I bought recently has these towing mirrors.

Will they do the job pulling my AS once it arrives? Or will I need something wider?

Thanks

What is the measurement from the outside of one mirror to the outside of the other and what is the width of your new Airstream?

Bill

ps: those mirrors should do fine.

Looks like they should be fine. You just want to be sure that you can see clearly behind the trailer, and the convex bottom mirror should eliminate any blind spots. The biggest problem with extensions is vibration, but these look pretty securely mounted. Give them a try.

I doubt they can handle the tongue weight.

Give them a try and see. Getting something wider might be a challenge. Does Dodge have an OEM mirror you can add? OEM would be my first choice before I looked at strap ons. I used some Cippa mirrors that worked but were always vibrating and needing constant attention.

Our friend has the same mirrors on his Ram 1500 and they do the job when he's pulling a 2012 FC.

The right mirror looks good, do you also have the left one, if so you are in business.

lol, as best I recall, I think I am covered on the driver's side as well

Ill measure up these when I get home....extended in this way, they look to be adequately wide...but I will obviously examine more so once hooked up....and if needed, will get some alternative...

I am not at all sure...I did some googling about OEM options for towing mirrors....my initial searching came up dry, but did not look that hard yet.

These seem quite wide...ill provide measurement tonight.

Our son's 2013 RAM has those exact mirrors, and they tow a Jayco. They are wide enough to see around that big box trailer. We were impressed enough, that I bought an aftermarket set for our 2009 RAM 1500. Best towing mirrors we ever had.

I have a 2014 Ram 2500 Laramie (w/Cummins diesel) on order. I checked out these mirrors on the dealer's lot and I think they'll work. Won't know until I hitch up and see if they stick out far enough. It looks like the convex (or are they concave?) section at the bottom makes them workable. I have a set of Aero mirrors I'm using now, and if needed, their clamping system will work on ANY mirror, including these.

yeah, they look nice and think they will hold up with very little vibration in tow since they are fairly solidly attached...all the other "attachment" type mirror all seem to have their issues...

Man I'm glad this is one less thing for me to have to replace...
