Rav4 Tow Vehicle?

I think not. I saw this guy on I-30 east of Dallas,TX. He was going about 60 mph when I took the picture. The tongue of the trailer was literally 3-5" from hitting the ground. He had of course no weight distribution hitch. The vehicle had a gross amount of sway in the 20-30 mph cross winds we were experiencing in NE Texas today.

Very Scary!!! Be careful out there.

If it's a Toyota-doesn't that mean he could tow a 34" Classic uphill at 80 mph with a 40 knot headwind in a blizzard?
Am I missing something?
This Toyota set up looks perfectly reasonable...

to some Folks!

The Truth Indeed

Bill,

Your right, a Toyota Corolla is perfectly suited to tow a Safari 25 SS!

I am going to lay and wait for the Toyota crowd to pick apart the critique of this post.

Have a good Thanksgiving,

Ty

Thank God it is not an AS!!! Seems like the perfect vehicle for a SOB. I just hope there were no kids in the car and no kids in any of the cars this guy encountered! It really reminds me of a Forest Gump Quote!

Probably listened to the advice of 2 very important people:
the Toyota salesman and then the RV salesman.

Hey, you don't need a trailer to be stupid!
The quotes on the picture are not mine...

Now that's hillarious!! I am sure the driver is not American by birth! I got fifty bux and 2 AS that says he would not make it 2 miles w/o incident or arrest. But hey, read the NY Times they love foriegn cars and will tell how superior they are to the polluting unsafe monster carbon footprinted overwrought beasts of the American Pick-up trucks.

Be sure that your spring bars aren't heavier duty than the load.

I would never tow an Airstream with a RAV4. By comparison the Smart car has done much more to move the axles to opposite ends to increase the wheelbase.

Don't forget how Jack LaLanne towed a 747 airliner with a Hensley!

I'm always entertained and amazed by stupid people tricks.

If I had seen that rig, I would switch to another road.
