Ram 3500 vs. Viper?
Saw this today and had to share! What would happen if you took all the doors and sheetmetal off a new Ram 3500 HO Cummins and ran it down the drag strip?

It still lost.
But a 12.9 for a Viper doesn't seem very fast either. There are lots of faster cars to test. Staying with dodge, a Demon did 9.16.

Yep, 12.9 seems slow compared to today’s muscle cars. And we thought performance was dead in the mid-70’s. Heck, I remember Sox & Martin and Grumpy Jenkins when breaking the 10 second quarter in Pro Stock was a big deal! Today they’re running in the 6’s and stock Demons are running 9’s. Go figure!

I've seen a couple with over a million miles, one with 2 million. Body was a little tired, seat probably should have been replaced a couple hundred thousand earlier, and the dash was cracking, but it wasn't bad, considering.
I really don't understand what you're trying to say.

When I was a tech, many years ago, I accepted work on a spider. EVERYTHING, crumbled and broke in my hands. Never worked on another! Nor would I today.

If they had been truly pure at heart, they would have taken a cutoff saw to the cab. There's still a lot of weight to remove.
Heck, they didn't even take the hood off. Or the fenders.
