The offshore thing again? My F250 was made in Canada (according to the VIN) and my Tundra was made in USA (according to the VIN).

VINs and assembly plant locations are deceiving..........follow the money.

I don't think it's where a vehicle is built that's the issue to those who object to import companies vehicles, but where the net profit of the sale goes....basically, out of this country.

I see the reasoning on both sides, and although I do own one import vehicle now (bought it used), in the past I have always chosen to support American companies, and will probably do so in the future. That is, assuming we will have that liberty in the future.

Don't get all twisted. When I say buy local I always think of Canada and USA as being local. And it's just me. I'm not pushing it.
In construction I find every product from off shore is inferior one way or the other to the local products we used to get. I guess we get what the majority wants! Cheap.

It's not so much the Canada issue....much further east.....or west.
