Pumping Loss

I'm starting this thread from a post in the "We dumped our diesel for a gasser" thread:

Simply put, an engine is an air pump. It pumps air from the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold. The bigger the pressure difference between the two, the more power it takes to pump the air.

Well I don't know about you other guy's, but I'm over 50 and I have noticed a decrease in pumping pressure.

As for exhaust pressure, over 50, I've noticed a steady INCREASE in pressure and frequency.



So IMHO yes, it does happen over 50
