possessed heated seats

2005 chevy suburban.. driver heated seat cycles through low-med-high setting all by itself... most times it will cycle once every hour or so... this past sunday morning it was cycling repeatedly... something like 30 times in about 15 minutes...

its been to 3 different dealers for this... they say they replaced the switch and 'control module'

- even though the truck is now out of warranty.. do i have any leverage showing three seperate work orders for this problem in recent past? (that is, repair covered by dealer)

- doesn't the lemon law say something about defective items serviced 3 times...

- any ideas what it might be?

First I am assuming that you bought the truck new so there are no ghosts involed. If the first attempt at repair was done under warranty bring the truck back to the dealer that did the work and they must repair it to your satisfaction. Good luck.

FinalcutJoe;

If you want to provide the last 8 of your VIN, I can check it in GMVISS and PM you a copy of the warranty history to date. Even though you are apparently out of your 3/36 warranty, you still have options. I would suggest calling the Chev Customer Assistance # (800-222-1020). You will need to provide them with your VIN. Given your history on this problem, Chev will more than likely cover this in part or whole. When profits are declining, the manufactures generally tighten their belt on the so called "good will" adjustments. I'm surprised the last dealer didn't step up to the plate for you. With a good CSI score, dealers have some lattitude on after warranty adjustments. I searched TSB's for your model year and have attached two TSB's. They may not directly apply to your symptons, but may provide additional incite.
