Portland OR for 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 First Service?

I am due for routine service soon on my 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 with the Cummins, and have a couple questions.

I'll be trying to get this done near Portland OR in the next couple weeks. Any good dealer suggestions in the Portland/Clackamas area appreciated.

I know from the Owners Manual I need an oil and filter change. Should I go ahead and have both fuel filters replaced? There are a bunch of inspections listed, as well as a 4x4 specific lube point, apparently. What are folks paying for all this at dealers?

Thanks a bunch!

Rich

Just follow the owners manual and you'll be fine. Should be an oil change and fill the def. Also wouldn't hurt to check all the other fluids t case, diff's etc.

Your trucks fuel filter interval is 15k miles. The info screen should tell you how much life the fuel filter has left.

Yeah my info screen also shows the life left on the oil change and how many miles have passed since the last one. Can't recommend a dealer though, sorry.

Ended up having everything done at Findlay in Wilsonville OR.

All ok now. Thanks for the suggestions.

Perfect timing for this post. We will be in Portland in July and I will also need first service on our 2016 RAM 2500/Cummins.

What color is your RAM?

I have a 2015 Ram 2500 CTD purchased last August, just turned 3000 miles. Guess I'll get my oil changed since its just about 9 months now. Garage queen.

Hey Phil. Glad to help. My truck is True Blue over silver.

FYI, oil change interval is every six months or 15,000 miles, whichever comes first.

For Dodge service, try Tonkin Dodge in Gladstone, just a few miles south of Portland off I-205. I bought a then new Dodge badged Sprinter from them in 2004 and their service on that vehicle was very good.

If you are headed East from Portland, stop in at The Dalles (about 80 miles east of Portland on I-84) and see the great folks at Urness Motors. I had my then new '08 Dodge 2500 CTD serviced there regularly and they are very caring folks who do a great job.....especially if you are in a fix and need emergency repairs.

I let a dealer/garage do the oil change, since it's messy and the oil needs to be disposed of properly, however, the fuel filters are very manageable as a DIY project. Both filters can be purchased as a set on-line for about $120. Lots of YouTube videos walk you through the process.

Thanks!

I had a pretty positive experience at Findlay.

They worked me in without an appointment. The truck was ready when they said, and all the work was done properly.

The outside of the dealership looks more like a nondescript warehouse. But all the customer facilities were first rate, new and very clean.
