Newbie 2013 LR4 towing a 27FB International

As a fellow LR4 Towing owner I thought I'd jump in and share that I am towing a 5600 dry 26BHS Keystone // Flagstaff Super Lite (29 ft bumper to hitch). I have a 2013 V8 I got with 100k on it 2 months ago. Got the rig right before christmas.

I opted for the Rhino OX hitch rated at 8000/800 lbs. and a ProPride hitch. I am still playing with the WD and dialing that in. I towed 6 hours up from NC to DC solo without issue.

I would not tow anything over 20 ft without a hensley or propride to counter the sway and short wheelbase of our LRs.

Power was great and never an issue, Really only reved over 3500 a handful of times under strong acceleration. MPG is of course horrid, (9.5-10ish) but that is to be expected.

I've got our first rec trip planned for late Feb out to the shore here in MD with the wild ponies. Kids are going to freak! Very excited.

I agree, it is a good thing you have a Propride to support the short wheelbase LR. You can further improve margins by loading heavy items biased forward into the LR but watch the axle limits. Add 7 psi to the rear vehicle tires over fully loaded guidance and take 2 psi out of the fronts. Run the trailer tires no more than 22% over minimum psi from a load rating chart to encourage the trailer tires to slip just a bit on extreme corners to help take some of the lateral pressure off the LR, but don't run them lower than 15% over or you are risking tire failure. I tow my 2021 International 23FB with a 2013 LR4 with E rated 18" tires and Blue Ox WD hitch and Tekonsha P3 brake controller. I try to stay off steep grades even with the 375 HP V8. I want a 27FB put start to push the limits of the LR4 as a TV. On flat terrain, I don't even feel the trailer.

The Atlantic British mirrors for the LR4 work very well but look odd when not towing
