New TV

I finally did it. After months of posting and reposting and reading any and all posts related to the F150 Ecobooster and the F 250 Diesel I made my choice and purchased a 2012 F 250 4x4 diesel Lariat trim with 156WB I want to thank all who provided advice on assisting me in making my choice.

Good for you!

I wanted the Ford, but to keep peace in the family, we got the Chevy. Just got back from a trip to Elk Neck in MD. Gotta say, what people say is true. You can't beat the diesel and the heavy duty. No sway when the big trucks pass. No hesitation coming off a stop. Finally I feel like I'm pulling the Airstream instead of the Airstream pushing me. Wish you good times with your new TV!

Nice truck. You'll be amazed at how it will tow the trailer, and you'll be happy with it for a long time.

...that you come from such a smart family, and never admit to a Ford guy that you wanted a Ford. It only makes them more arrogant.

Nice looking Ford 250.

I have a Chevy 2500 Duramax and I love it. But in a couple of years I think I may look at a new TV, and I will look at the new Ford for sure. I no sooner type that message and I think to myself, that the Chevy has been such a great TV, why would I look at anything else?

My thanks to all for their compiments but now I am finding out I need a new shank to the AS. One I had on the Yukon is to big. In the down position it does not sufficient ground clearance and in the up position it is to tall and will hit the tailgate when lowered. Oh well.

Hi, I'm going through the same thing. What will be our next tow vehicle? We still like our Navigator, and it has served us well. A funny note though, and I won't mention any names. I was being followed by another trailer similar to mine, but being towed with a Diesel. The other driver said that he expected to see me going up the mountain passes, behind the big rigs, doing about 28 MPH. He was totally shocked to see my Lincoln in the third lane passing the second lane of big rigs while going up hill at 55/60 MPH. At one point his wife thought I was trying to lose them.
