Is there a load rating sticker on that receiver?

Can you post the hitch receiver height?

Thanks

Joe,

Check out this thread that Phil started when he was researching the new Burb.

Nice rig,

Congrats...

Hope your MPG's are better than my 88 Burb 454, 10mpg

I'm looking at about 11 while towing 15 solo. Ugh.

Question Fretting mpg's...

I've found that towing our abode compensates nicely for our 11.1 average.
Would I rather leave it behind just to gain a few?........NOT.

That's my thought as well. It's interesting to me that I'm actually getting about 2mpg BETTER mileage with the 3/4 while towing than I did with the 1/2 ton. Then again, it's able to do it at a much lower RPM so I suppose that's not all that strange.

Thumbs up

My experience also...

We had a 95 2500 454 Burb for 13 Seasons, many up-grades done at 2500mi to improve towing mpg's...took 150000mi to break even, sold it at 168000.
I was concerned that the 8.1 w/4:10's would get nowhere near the 11mpg that the 95 got....turns out it gets a bit better.

Plus it tows happier also...

Bob

Your mpg experience is the same as mine with a crew cab 2010 2500HD pickup vs. a 2008 1500 pickup. Both trucks have 3:73 rear end and 4X4. 1500 had a 5.3 engine with a four speed trans. 2500 has the 6.0 with 6 speed. 2500 gets better mpg while towing the AS.

Congratulations on your new TV! I'm sure your rig plays well together. Happy to see Sean sent you the longer drop hitch bar; I towed about 2000 miles with the shorter one before I swapped to the longer one.

Thanks! Yes, they do seem to get along, certainly much better than the 1/2 ton did.
