I have had the Firestone bags on my old truck. Ok, but you needed to keep a minimum of five pounds in them. I currently have the Airlift bags with the internal jounce bumper built inside on my current truck. Can run with zero air pressure when unloaded. Pretty easy install and gives me an onboard air supply for other needs. Mounted the pump, switch and stuff on the inner wall of the bed where I can reach it all when hitching up.

New 2015 Ford F-250

I would just install a F350 rear leaf spring pack.Your ride will remain the same. When loaded the overloads come onto play and the truck rides good.Without a load it will ride on just the primary leaf an give you the smooth ride your F250 provided as they are the same.

I have a 2015 F350 so I can attest to the above stated facts, I also had a 2012 F350.The 2015 springs ride a little smoother but both ride better than my previous 2010 F150 with a 1790 lbs payload capacity.
Replacing the leaf springs on your truck is a simple solution as F250 and F350 interchange.Simple.

Interesting. I'm looking at moving to a 250 as well. Seems like it makes sense just to get the 350?

I have the Firestone air bags with on-board compressor (mounted under the hood on the wheel well) on my F-250 and it has been a really good addition. I can pack the bed full and with the 1,000 lb hitch weight, I can still keep things level. Once unloaded and un-hitched, I lower the air bag pressure to 5 lbs and the ride is really good for an HD truck.

The missconception out there is the F350 is overkill and rides like a dump truck but this could not be further from the truth. The F250 and the F350 share the same primary leaf spring(the one you use when very little or no load is present) and ride the same. But put a load say 1200-1500 lbs of gear and tongue weight on and the F250 squats with headlights in the trees and the F350 does not. This is due to the differance in the progressive leaf spring packs.

Firedog - say it ain't so! We just purchased a new 2015 GMC Sierra Denali 2500 HD to pull our 30' Classic. Now you're saying it would have been better to go for the 3500? Agh!! Oh well, it's a done deal! And so far we love towing our trailer with our new truck.
