My real world experience with Mercedes diesel cars and SUVs (for eighteen years) that I own in both the UK and the USA are they get at least 30% better milage than the Mercedes premium gas guzzling engines of the same displacement. Since premium gas and diesel vie back and forth for most expensive on any given day, I prefer the better range of the diesels with the same sized fuel tank.

I use my 2007 Mercedes exes ML320 CDI v6 3.0L turbo diesel to tow our 2015 23D International Serenity and get 16.5 mpg when towing on the level and enjoy engine braking on descents due to the much higher compression inherent in all diesel engines.

The 2017 Audi Q7 passed inspection of the hitch. They removed the bumper and removed the hitch, then reassembled to correct torque. No fractures and mechanic didnít see any signs of bolts moving. He is checking to see if he finds any info on reinforcing the hitch. I passed on the info from your post.
At 23000 miles Iím down to 5/32 on tire depth, was told the Q7 goes through tires quickly.
