What I fell now is that on a fast start, like incorporating to the road with traffic and accelerating hard, the ball makes a "clong" noise and you fell a little hit back. The opposite happens in the event of a strong brake....
During the ride it fells normal, and if you are smooth operating as well...

For grins trailer unhitched but hitch installed in receiver. See if the stinger moves forward and back on the hitch pin.

Do you have advanced towing assist on your RR? If so, where do you place your tracking sticker given the constraints of the propane tank enclosure and electric hitch?

We tow our 2018 23CB International Signature with our 2007 Range Rover HSE. We use a Centerline WD hitch and have had no sway or other issues as the RR is pre-aluminum heavy. Maneuverability is great due to the relatively short wheel base.

I have the same questions Miezi 2020; perhaps we need to just remove the propane tank cover?

Advanced Towing Assist
...I tried again to get that towing target to work with my 2017 Discovery TD6 but to no avail. I even completely removed both LPG tanks but I can't seem to convince the computer to accept the Towing Target. Any suggestions?

...so the root cause was the Discovery not detecting the trailer electrical connection because the trailer's LED lighting system draws less than 1.75 Amps of current. I found this discussion to be helpful.
To increase the current draw I installed a Sylvania LED Equalizer Kit (a pair of 50 Watt 6 Ohm resistors) inside the trailer's electrical bay (under the queen bed). One resistor is connected between each of the turn/stop signal wires (red and brown) coming from the 7-pin connector and the ground buss. Luckily, there is a junction box with screw terminals making the connections quick and simple once you have the Resistors mounted to the cooling fins. I used thermal compound under each resistor and added #10 ring terminals to the ends of each wire.
These resistors get incredibly hot during use so they are attached to some aluminum heat sinks that I scavenged from an old power supply circuit board; they warrant an even larger heat sink which I'll need to upgrade. I'll probably install a cooling fan, as well, connected to the Running Lights (Green) wire.
I had to remove the LPG Tank Shroud but I find the green target area very satisfying.

LED Equalizer Kit version 2.0
A thermal analysis of the LED Equalizer Kit installation suggested the heat sinks are woefully inadequate to dissipate 54 Watts (2× 27 Watts) of heat so I upgraded to a much larger heat sink and added a cooling fan.
The fan is powered via the running lights circuit from the trailer 7-way connector. I also didn't care for the spaghetti soup wiring job inside the electrical bay so I relocated the 7-way junction box, along with version 2.0 of the LED Equalizer Kit, to the panel adjacent to the external storage compartment. I cleaned up some of the other wiring and tightened down the inverter and relay (both were pretty loose).
Before and after pictures of the electrical bay are shown along with a close up of the junction box and LED Equalizer.

My Land Rover days preceded my Airstream days. Here's my friend and I getting ready to drive to Alaska from NY State in my first Land Rover. This was 50 fears ago- 1971. The LR is a '67 Series IIA.

I’ve had a couple of 1st generation Discoveries, we loved them, but they’ve been passed along. But, I still have a couple of Series... both are 88”, the yellow ‘60 is a SII and the green ‘72 is a SIII...

This is great work, really well done. I had to add the same resistors to my 2018 16' Bambi to get my 2012 Range Rover Sport to recognize that the trailer is connected. I had the same concerns about heat and ended up mounting the resistors on a piece of angle aluminum bolted to the frame on the outside of the the trailer. It's worked out well and heat dissipation is not a problem there.
