How to post photos

Can someone provide a few quick pointers, on how to post photos? I am reasonably tech savvy, but I have not figured this one out.

If there is a different area I should be asking, feel free to redirect.

In addition to the directions that azflycaster posted can you please tell us what type of device you are trying to use this forum on. It makes a difference if you are on a desktop, tablet, phone, Apple or Android.

I have a MacBook Pro, and have found it best to export/save a photo to the desktop and give it a new name. Then, when posting a message and going through the attachment process, I choose that file when this site "browses" for a file to attach.

For some reason, which I forget, the process above resulted in fewer [as in none] images which were rotated or upside down.

Just the path I happened upon randomly . . . . . . not an expert opinion by any means.
