How Much Truck Do You Need?

The 2016 Titan XD SV is being sold in most markets for about $42k. Of course, tax, tag and dealer prep.....

The ones I saw on the lot here were $54,000 and $56,000.

Fire up TrueCar.com or Cars.Com

The 2017's are on the doorstep so the 2016's are being pretty heavily discounted (not to mention that they are not selling as Nissan might have hoped).

Don't know what kind of deals they will have when I am ready to buy later this Fall as the 2017's have a better warranty (5 years/100000 miles).

Still on the fence regarding gas vs diesel -- the gas version has a much better payload but the diesel will obviously tow with less effort...

Uh, that's not an 'Original' 5.9 with six in a row. sorry,

Yeah, I don't know what you be 'smokin' but that was some funny

I'm still 110% satisfied with my Tundra and still don't see the Titan as a game changer- not even in the game.
For the price, payload, and towing there are better options out there.
The Titan is still a 1/2 ton truck- a very expensive, complicated 1/2 ton truck- with a goose neck ball in the bed.

Isn't the tundra a half ton also, so I they are much the same, except for the diesel option.

Yes, the Tundra is a half ton.
My point is that I see no advantage.
No more towing capacity.
No more payload.
Costs more.
A Ram Ecodiesel costs less and gets better mileage, but has even less payload and towing.

The only advantage is the Diesel engine if you see it that way. Some do, some don't. I'm referencing the tundra and Nissan.
