Towing Properly equipped and fed by 91-octane or better gasoline (87 is recommended for everyday use), the V6-powered Odyssey can haul up to 3,500 pounds (minus the passengers and contents of the minivan).

Read the post that Road Ruler linked to and contact Andrew T if you have any questions. He does this for a living, so has more first hand experience than all the other experts on this board.

I'm going to be in Michigan this summer so it wouldn't be a far drive to take him my Oddysey.

Not quite an Odyssey, but almost. We have a great time towing our 28' International with our Sienna. It's been set up by the good people at Can-Am RV.

Thanks! Curios. How much does your trailer weight? Approximate cost of TV setup?

About 7,000 lbs loaded, tongue weight around 1,000 lbs. We bought the trailer from Can-Am and they did the hitch (re-inforced), extra transmission cooler, brake controller, weight distribution, anti-sway and mirrors as part of the package. Speak to Andy T direct, he'll give you an accurate price.

Rowdy... They did our set up as well. Been great the last 7 years. Note there are forum members that have driven from BC, Texas, Florida, and locations on the east coast. It is worth the drive!

I think Andy T is planning to bring a Volkswagon Jetta to Alumapalooza and demonstrate its towing abilities. If a Jetta can tow then I'd guess your Honda might be up for the challenge.

I attended the towing seminar last year at Alumapalooza. Andy T goes into quite a bit of detail regarding torque, gear ratios, wheelbase, overhang and track width. He made a believer out of me. I rode with him last year in a Ford Taurus. I was amazed!

I'm planning to sign-up for a test drive at Alumapalooza this year. I want to see how the Jetta feels. I'm guessing it will have the TDI (Turbo Direct Injection?) diesel. I had hoped Andy T would bring a mini van for towing demonstrations but I think he's bringing the Jetta.

I'll try to take some pictures and post them here later. If I have a chance to speak to Andy T I'll ask about your Honda.

Andy's minivan setups should be popular down here in South Texas....they like the lowriders down here.
