Here's Bessie!

Bessie is our tow vehicle. We don't have our trailer yet, but it will probably be a 2015 Classic 30.

We have a Class 6 Air hitch from Air Safe that will help to protect our trailer from too much bounce.

Holy Cow! That's quite the tow vehicle, there! Are you going to paint her like the Tardis?

I'm not sure if I missed it, but I didn't see the kitchen sink!

I NEED THAT TO TOW MY BAMBI! Unfortunately it doesn't look like it has adequate payload capability available.

More information please.

I seriously like this tow vehicle. As a fulltimer I don't have a house with a garage to store tools, etc. in. The utility body is a great idea.

I'm taking your pictures down to my local truck dealer to price one.

I will have to get a Fiat or other belly-button car as a daily driver. (Looks like one might fit IN the back of this truck!)

Why such an extreme tow vehicle?
You will never be overloaded...
You won't need weight distribution or anti-sway- just set it on the ball and go.

We are going to fulltime. We are not completely retiring when we get on the road. Hub is a 30+ year ASE master technician and plans to get certified as an RV technician. His toolbox weighs over 2000 lbs. Plus, we bought our last truck first.

We got into this truck for less than 100k just to let you somewhat know, the kitchen sink is in the last box on the passenger side. If you extend the wheel base you can put a small car on the back. With a 55 degree turning base I can almost turn the whole thing aroung on a 2 lane street. It also has 2 bedrooms just to add that. Think I am getting about 12 MPG but still working on that. Just a few highlights to let you know.

Maybe we'll run into y'all at some campground when we need a repair. Up to now, it 's been me and a growing list for Jackson Center...

My family is on the verge of going full time and considering upgrading tow vehicles that will allow access to tools much like your husband. I attempted to private message you with no success. Is there another way I may get in contact with you? I may be reached at (314)749-9579.

I am retired from the local natural gas company. I used to drive one like that to haul a 16,000 lbs. backhoe tractor on a 6,500 lbs. trailer and the truck weight in at 13,500 lbs. and that all adds up to 32,000 lbs. empty. All you people be careful because depending the state you may be required to get a class A commercial drivers license and this license requires medical exam every two years if you are under 50 and every year if you are 50 or over.

Hello to all of you out there that are showing interest and appreciation for Bob and Page's really, really good idea...

Check out the link to the Classifieds below my signature first.

My 2006 Mercedes SPRINTER 3500 dually is available now for $29,000 ($2000 more if you want the power plant).

The vehicle has run LESS THAN 16,000 miles ( 15,600 when I drove it this week) and looks and performs like it just rolled out of the showroom.

A very smart all aluminum utility box could easily replace the MINI up there. Let's then call it a STOWmobile.

Any competent truck body builder can do this for you. If you wanted Wiltsie Truck Body of Ontario, Canada - the old line family firm that built much of my rig - to do the work I would gladly co-ordinate your design being built out.

Or, if you want the whole splendid traveling rig I'll keep the MINI and provide the modifications that will make the SPRINTER your STOWmobile. Same price.

The Mercedes will give you a Combined Weight Rating of 15, 200 pounds. It's turning radius is less than Bob's Freighliner. The fully loasded unit has never done less than 18 mpg, gets as much as 22 mpg. You DON"T need a Class A licence to enjoy a Mercedes Sprinter.

We like this a lot, but need a four door with our two children on tow. Good luck!
