Cool vid, thanks for posting it Mojo. On first glance, kind of surprising I must say. My guess better weight balance in the Touareg and better tires (looks like the Chevy had mudder tires on it, which are not noted for grip) and a better FWD/AWD system (though I would think not as strong as the Chevy in day to day use). I know I few guys I would like to show this to LOL (and I'm a DMAX owner). I know another area that the VW would have it all over the Chevy (and this coming as a previous Audi/VW owner) overall build quality!

Any PU I ever owned had better traction when it had some weight in the bed. Sal

All the engineering that goes into those vehicle come through as shown in the vid. Guess there is a reason why they are top rated as TV's.

Use-able power is what it is about.

As per above comment, would've been interesting to see the same vid when both vehicles were at GVWR (and otherwise in stock OEM trim).

if weight distribution were equal, the test would actually be interesting. Pickups were designed to carry weight in the bed, that is why they have one, put a thousand pounds in the pickup and then redo the test. Or you could put that weight in the back of both vehicles ans see what happens. Jim
