having an airstream towed

my insurance covers $100 for towing my 36 ft airstream motorhome,,,
obviously it would cost more to tow it off of the highway,,,

Thread: having an airstream towed

Greetings Kevin!

Good Sam offers specialized RV towing insurance through the club, and AAA offers AAA+RV. I have had both and at least in Illinois, I found AAA to be much quicker to respond but their upper limit is lower than Good Sam. I switched to Good Sam this year, and have had only one call when the alternator went out in my Vintage tow vehicle -- it took nearly three hours to get the rig towed to the nearest repair center -- the company sent towed the car and trailer separately and helped to get me setup in a local RV park. One of the reasons that I changed to Good Sam was that the maximum on the towing was higher, but I am not particularly happy about response time.

Good Sam has the Good Sam RV Emergency Road Service that is offered through Affinity Road and Travel Club out of Englewood, Colo. It is nt exactly cheap, about $299 plus you can upgrade it fo an additional fee. One time used will pay for it. I had to have it used in Oregon when my TV blew the radiator and I called ERS. They pay to tow to the nearest authorized service shop, not who you want it towed to . Membership questions can be received by calling 800-865-6899. Wish you luck.
