Thumbs down HAUNTED TRUCKS; The NOT-good, the UGLY & the BAD

OK this is the 2nd in my Truck Buying 101 Trilogy.
What are the makes and models and accessories (features) to consider avoiding.
Surely there are documented facts as well as widely held beliefs (even wive's tales) of trucks that just didn't work out as planned.
Major recalls. Abominations from the get go etc.
Spare nothing here guys, please let her rip if for good reason.

Make sure it "feels good"...

Don't know how else to say this - the seat needs to fit your a$$...

I purchased a brand new Chebby half ton several years ago to use as a daily commuter here in Houston...sold it after putting on a whole 1000 miles....just could never 'get comfortable' driving it.

I bought my Cummins and it came with a Dodge frame and cab.

That's almost how it happened, but I do favor the Dodge family.

I bought my '05 Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins before I even dreamed of a trailer let alone an AS.

If something happened to it, I'd look for an '04-'05. The engine is using the High Pressure Common Rail fuel delivery system, these run significantly quiter than the earlier fuel systems, and I do not have any issues with it 90K later.

Enjoy and good hunting.
