I have 26k miles on my 2016 Ram 2500 CTD with the 20" Firestone T/As. I run them at 65/80 front/rear, as per the owner's manual.

My tread is down to around 7-8mm all around, with one tire rotation that took place in Oregon at the first oil change six months ago.

Ride is firm but I like it that way.

Duke --- Nice ride. I, too, went from a Ford to a Ram, now a 2500 diesel. When I win the lottery, I'll upgrade to a 3500. Meantime, I want to ask you about the Aisin trans. My reading reviews leaves me concluding that upgrade is overkill for pulling a travel trailer. What was your reason for ordering it?

They can be special ordered with Michelins....

Rgentum, The word "overkill" does not exist in my world! The reason for the Aisin is plain and simple. 100 ft.lbs of torque! That is the only combo that you can get the HO Cummins with 900 ft.lbs of torque. Also only available in the 3500. Heavier drivetrain, from front to back! If you are happy with 800 then don't get the Aisin? I have never said, nor will I ever say, that any vehicle has too much power! I am going to buy the first truck that hits the "magical number" of 1000 ft.lbs of torque! In my earlier life, there was one thing that I was taught and learned early on, always bring enough gun to a gunfight! Had I not, I might not be typing this post right now? I simply don't believe in "overkill!" Not trying to be a smart - a$$, this is just the way I think. I have never bought something better than I needed and been disappointed, I have however bought a few inferior things and been disappointed! Those were lessons that I quickly learned and have not forgotten in my soon to be 57 years on Gods earth.

No! Ram is only using Firestoneds, on single rear wheels. Nexen on duallys. You would have to make that part of the deal, as did I.

Tire pressure

Michelin has available to post tire pressure based on weight loading.with an empty truck you can go down to 45 to 50 pounds. Much better ride. Have 265-75-16 E on my Dodge 2500 and changed tires

At 72,000 miles. Still perfect tires but age was at the high edge. Toaster Bob C

Beautiful Truck! I noticed you had a Leer cap, possibly a 100XQ? I'm about to order a 100XR for my 2500. How do you like your cap? Was the fit and finish satisfactory?
