Got another Truck...and this time...

Hi all, I have been off here for a while - as my subscription had run out and could not post pictures. Some of you know I formerly had a 1984 Ford F150. And we DID pull the AS for about four miles in a test run, and to re position the trailer with its hitch pointing due south.
The good news is recently I was on the phone with a sister in Las Cruces NM and were talking trucks...then she mentioned she had two trucks for sale, and one of them was a '96 Ford F250. WOW! so we made a deal and drove the '84 over there and gave her some cash and the old truck. This 96 model is great- had been owned by a sheriff, and then her- and she only drove it for 200 or so miles.
But- when we got on the road to head home we found out pretty quick that the tanks will not switch over from one to the other. A friend 'dealer' said that it was common in that model and could be fixed, so for right now we are using the rear tank. Any of you have this problem too?
Well my subscription is renenewed - so lets see if I can post a picture of the truck....I am so proud of it, and hope you guys n gals like it too.

Congratulations on the new truck. Looks like a great find. I like the look of the low profile truck box also!

That is in great shape. A 96 around here would be all rusted out by now.

The fuel transfer thing is a pretty simple fix. I had the same problem with one of my Fords (in another life), and it turned out to be the switch on the dash. There is also a module on the frame under the truck that actually transfers the fuel and if I remember correctly that module is not expensive and should be easy to find and replace.
Nice truck!

Also (thanks Frank and Mike) I have to switch the rear trailer plug to a six hole plug now. I wonder if I am going to need another brake box for inside the truck?

Replaced the heater core yesterday...looks like she needed it.
We have spring like weather for the next several days so now is my chance to get busy again working outside. By the way ..I founf that in a 96'Ford F250, you do not have to remove the dash to make the change, just go straight in behind the glove box.
