GMC vs. Chevy

Any real difference between the two? Just badging?

Thinking of wasting money on a new 2500 diesel. Miss the Mother Truck.

Badging and some meaningless ornaments.

Body styles are slightly different, grilles and lights a little different and some interior appointments. My choice between the two-Chevrolet. I just like their look.

I have the GMC version. Went that way instead of the Chevrolet only because we liked the GMC dealer better.
Love the truck.

Interesting! I live vicariously when people buy things, I will be watching to see what you purchase.

Do you feel that the F-150 is just too small for your use or are you simply pining for a big diesel? I love "window shopping" for trucks and sometimes I think that I would try a diesel 250/2500 simply for the load carrying. Kind of overkill for a 16' Airstream but the fact remains that we are right on the edge of GVWR when loaded...

I could see a Denali GMC in the driveway.

Have fun shopping!

I should say that in order to support my choice, I have a 2009 6.0L Chevy 2500HD with the crew cab, 4X4, Z71, LTZ package. Not much was left off of this one.

My company vehicle is also a Chevy 1500 4X4 LT.

Like them both.

GM seats are also more comfortable than the new Fords. All the guys on the team getting Fords are complaining about the seats on a long drive(500+)

Hmmm, I'm pretty happy with my Ford. Maybe it's not 'All the guys'.

The F-150 is really fine, but I liked the driver display a lot better in the Chevy - and for me (a lefty) the Chevy seems a bit more ergonomic, then there's the monster 2500 Duramax diesel engine and Cummins tranny.

Plus I've been negotiating on a 10 meter Avion.

$$$$ is the main difference.
If the GMC badges are prettier to you and a few changes in the interior are worth it to you, then it might be worth the difference.
I compared last year when I bought my Silverado

Maybe, you're not on the team.

Sorry could not resist.

Hi, Paula; No disrespect, but it sounds like you are in La La land. If you really want a General Motors truck and a Duramax Diesel, you might want an Allison transmission with it. maybe you have been sneaking around the Dodge/Ram dealers and got Cummins [Diesel] locked into your head. And now an Avion??????

I guess a paraphrase of Groucho sums things best. Any team that would have a member like me, I wouldn't want to belong to anyway.
