According to the article several law firms that have opened a class action law suit against GM.

They smell blood in the water after VW.

Here's the complaint.

Interesting reading. Looks like the Cruze may be implicated as well.

Oh come on! Please don't act surprised by this news; Ford will be next and Chrysler/Ram has already been dinged with the FIAT 3.0l V6 and rumours of polluting Cummins motors have been circulating for years.

IMHO the American government has embarked on a foreign company witch hunt; Takata airbags, VW diesel gate, Fiat diesels, Canadian soft wood lumber etc, etc, all the while taking a very protectionist attitude to American companies, with the attitude of "don't know, don't tell, don't act".

Cheers
Tony

This is our reply to the story. My understanding is that the allegation comes from the law firm only, at this time....not EPA.

"These claims are baseless and we will vigorously defend ourselves. The Duramax Diesel Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra comply with all U.S. EPA and CARB emissions regulations."

That is all I truly know.

Every morning on my commute I pass cars with two or more donut spares, no exhaust, a headlight out driving with high beams on to "fool" the cops, dripping oil. I'm glad the government is going after some heavy duty trucks that will be modified the minute they leave the dealership anyway. I definitely feel safer thanks to the EPA.
