Windstar

Hi Wayne:

Thanks for your reply.

I thought for a moment you were going to tell me you were towing your trailer with your bike..... Just kidding.

I am familiar with Can Am as I bought my 79 Airstream from them 3 years ago. I have talked to them about the Windstar and they are still for it.

I live in the trailer all summer in Thompson MB where I fly water bombers.

This winter I am leaving it here in Thompson so I don't require a tow vehicle so I traded for a Windstar. It is much smoother smoother riding than any truck.

Data From Ford

I find this thread to be rather outlandish to be going on still.

Here is the data from the company that builds Windstars. Properly set up the max is 3500#'s. If you want to consider more than that, you are bucking hundreds of thousands of hours and dollars of reasearch that a 99 year old world wide company has done. (Next year FoMoCo will be 100)

Ford does build vehicles to tow more! Trust me on that one.

OK guys, Gordon got the message. He still got the Windstar but said he was not going to tow the trailer. I believe him. On to other things.

This is one of the best threads....

I want to personally thank you Gordon for starting this thread.

This is one of the most active Post and Threads on the AirstreamForums. Who would have thought that 66+ posts would be made about an innocent little 'ol Windstar.

Best Regards to all, no matter which side you are on.
