I recently looked at a 2017 Ram 2500 Laramie with most of the goodies on it.
However payload 1,900# and in comparison to the 2017 F-250 it is one ugly duckling. I would be embarrassed hooking my beautiful AS behind that thing.
The F 250 also comes with a power step which is awesome for old folks.

Did that have the grill with the two large openings on each side of the "RAM" logo. Yes, I don't like it at all. I have a 2015 2500 Cummins Big Horn SLT and it only has 2089lbs payload. Doesn't have the bling of the Laramie.

On a serious note, I did look and test drove a 2017 -2500 Ram Laramie with the Cummins and I actually liked it. However when I learned more about its specs I was disappointment. Especially the payload. At 1990# in comparison to the 3350# of the F-250 Lariat fully loaded it was puny. And the price believe it or not was withing a few hundred dollars. My current F-150 I load to about 1800# and I could use more capacity and that is why I am considering going to a 3/4 ton.

Going to a 3500 gets you one ton payload. It also adds a limited slip diff and towing mirrors. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think the Ford grill is pretty ugly. I agree on the Laramie grill being not so attractive though too. I opted for the lowly black Tradesman, but with my body color being the Maximum Steel Metallic it also mimics the far more expensive "Black Out" option on the Big Horn.

F250 To Ram Cummins
We just traded our 2011 F250 Lariat with 26,000 miles for the 2016 Ram Laramie 6.7 Cummins Diesel with 2250 max payload. It also has the side Ram Boxes. Not sure what the complaints about looks are but we think the grill is rather attractive. Yeah, the 250 was pretty, but that doesn't get you down the road when the engine problems start popping up.
Note: Can't get the two photos to rotate

I have a 2007 Tundra with 55,000 miles.
I thought that was low miles till I ran across a guy with a 2006 Tundra with 43,000 miles.
My boss has a 2001 Jeep Wrangler with 26,000 miles.

Looks very nice. I own a 2016 Denali HD with Duramax and the RAM was on my shopping list.

I just want to pause a moment and congratulate us all for making it to the 7th page of a thread about the big three diesels without getting it shut down. Good conversation folks!

In case it hasn't been mentioned - last I checked Duramax were still putting the DEF filler under the hood which is idiotic. It should be next to the diesel filler.

Our 07 dodge 6.7 cumalong , big horn has 109,000, been coast to coast all with our airstream and never had any problems, traded it for a 2016 Laramie 2500, 6.7 , with 14000 miles today , we will see how these coil springs on the rear work out?

Be careful you don't pull the frame out from under your trailer. Do you have to still pull off the cab on the 2017's to check the oil?
