I am using that same size tire on my '11 Chevrolet 1 ton. It came new with the Michelin A/T's in that size. I replaced them with same Michelins at 48,000 miles. Yes, these tires are quite expensive ($1,320 for the set of four). I decided that they were worth the extra money. The 48,000 miles run on the OEM Michelins was really good. I carry a 3,000# truck camper in the bed full time. The truck and camper together weigh in at 11,600#.
I also pull the Airstream with this truck/camper combo. This truck works really hard, and I would only trust the very best tires.

I don't know about other manufacturers, but the main topic of the thread is supposed to be the F150 so I looked that up here.

The ECU and fuel injection pump are specifically INcluded in the powertrain coverage on page 10.

On page 20 the Fuel Injection System (which I guess includes the rest of the parts besides the injection pump) is specifically listed as being covered under the Emissions Defect and Emissions Performance warranties, which seem to be 3 yr/36k except for "certain parts" covered to 8/80, but I didn't find the schedule of parts under that definition.

Hi, OK, I guess that I'm missing something. So if the F-150 nameplate was the top seller for 32 years, but GM out sold them, then you are saying that Ford put F-150 nameplates on Fusions, Taurus's, Explorers, and Edges too? Or that Ford should have included Lincoln pickups and Mercury pickups when they were made too? Or that GM can't beat Ford with Chevrolet sales so they have to include GMC which they try to make you believe it is a different vehicle brand until Ford out sells Chevrolet??????

The whole premise of this thread is over simplified. The fact than any particular item is the best selling in its class of item does not make it the best by that fact alone. Nor does it make it the best for any specific purpose. This thread is full of posts that draw conclusions that are in fact, not facts but opinions, because there is no documented supporting data except quotes of others' opinions.
There are individuals that need reassurance that choices they make are in fact good ones. For some of these people that reassurance is satisfied, by knowing that a great many other people made that same choice. For the purposes of those individuals that is good. For others (for instance me) that is irrelevant. I read every review I can get my hands on especially data from actual testing. If possible I test the item myself. I may asks others who own whatever item I am looking for. However I will be looking for specific examples of their personal good and bad experiences. When I decide on an item, I'm am hoping to feel that I made the best decision possible, and be done with it. I am sure not going to come here and post how great my item is, and give everyone else a chance to take pot shots and tell me I made a mistake.

This thread could be more appropriately titled "Why I Like My Truck" or "I Bought My Truck Because Everyone Else Has One"

If you want to add Mercury/Lincoln pickup to Ford's tally, then you need to add Escalade Ext/Chevy Avalanche numbers to GM too. The fact of the matter is that Silverado+Sierra has outsold F150 probably in more than 10 of the last 32 years.

I am re-iterating that I like ALL Ford/GM/Ram/Toyota truck brands.
