I don't have one but it's on my list for when my aging TV needs to be replaced.

I have read that with the GM big SUVs, they can be ordered with a "delete" option for the third row seat. Is that also true of the Ford? Or is the seat easily removable?

3rd as well as 2nd fold flat. I think a 4x8 ply fits.
In looking/dealing stage. Coming from another location to evaluate.

FEI an Airstream in photo, and towing specs on lower right:

Wish Ford would offer a better Transit Van towing setup, like the old E-350 Club Wagon we had!

This Expedition looks nice, please let us now what you think after a test drive.

Thanks,

Peter

My wife and I bought a 2018 Ford Expedition Max Platinum (since they don’t yet make a Plutonium Edition)... It’s a wonderful vehicle! The engine has a surprising amount of power, and a very smooth ride. Admittedly, we don’t use it as a primary tow vehicle since we also have a diesel F350, but we do tow with it and seems to do very well. We’d buy another in a heartbeat!

We have a 2018 Ford Expedition XLT 4x4 FX4 with tow package. The 4x4 is rated at 9200 lbs. We are towing a 2014 Flying Cloud 27FB with an equalizer hitch. Tows great, plenty of power and the new 10 speed transmission works well in tow mode. The trailer backup assist works well and we were able to mount the sticker on the trailer near the propane tanks. I believe the 27 is the largest model this vehicle could handle.

I towed my 27FB with a 2003 Expedition for several years. Though the 2 valve V8 lacked power for speed up the big hills above 6,000 and 9,000 feet, it was a fine tow vehicle otherwise. The new Expeditions are much more capable.

We took delivery of a 2018 Plat Max with HD tow in July 2018; it replaced our 2008 Expy EL. The Max is better in every way, and the 2008 already did a good job. We use it to tow our 25' Flying Cloud. It's just the two of us plus 3 small pets and we have enough payload capacity for everything we carry. Plenty of power and torque, does a much better job than the old V8 did. But fuel mileage when towing is just about the same as the V8, maybe very slightly better - haven't had it long enough to be sure.

We have a black Expedition Limited with tow package 2017 and tows our 28 ft fc within issues! We went with the Expedition to avoid the "truck" ride. Lots of room and provides covered and locked storage!

We just traded in our F150 for a 2019 Expedition. We tow a FC 30' and so far everything seems to be working fine. A little more comfortable ride and being 3' shorter than the F150 much easier to turn.

I tow with a 4x4 Tahoe with a towing package, GVWR within limits. Early Airstreamers and Spartan owners towed with their family sedans. The Expedition will be a great tow vehicle, just watch out for the Subaru’s and the nasty diesel smoke!

Wilsodf - who set up your trailer assist system? I haven’t been able to use this feature, very frustrating. Was told it wouldn’t work with my AS due to propane tank cover.

Not Wilsodf, but we use the trailer assist with our FC and '18 Max Plat. It definitely works, and works well. You can put the sticker directly on the tongue and not worry if a small corner rides up under the tank covers. I wanted a bit more room so I glued a piece of plastic to the tongue to give a bit more surface area for the sticker. (Even now a small bit of sticker is sometimes under the cover if the cover has been jostled a bit.) Either way has given me satisfactory operation of the system. Just as a precaution I also glued some dull plastic on the tank cover behind the sticker to prevent reflections of the sticker in the tank cover. I've heard that the reflections can confuse the system's camera. See photo.

reflection

I was able to get it working with our F-150 with pro backup and now with the F-250 however we do loose the target ( placed as you did) Thanks for the advise on the reflection, makes sense. That target JUST makes the Ford min distance spec.
