Ford Brake Controller

Do any of you fellow forums members have experience with the Ford factory installed brake controller?
Does it work well, etc?
I'm due for a new E150 wagon soon.

Had one on my 2007 and my current 2011.

They work great.

I have one in my 2010 F450 and keep it set on maximum gain and braking efficiency is marginal at best. I have heard from others at dealership with same problem.

Ford TBC

I've used two so far. The first was built in to my 2006 F-250 6.0 PSD. Towing my 25' Classic is worked well all the time, no worries. The second is on my F-250 SD with the 6.2 gas engine, I have no worries that the factory TBC will do a fine job.

The good news - unlike the GMC/Chevy OEM TBC, the Ford unit works with Electric-Hydraulic "disc" brakes (rumor has it so does the Ram TBC).

Unfortunately - the GMC/Chevy's still lack this feature with their TBC's - I would think they would have addressed it with the new 2011's but so far only some crazy work-arounds...

I have one on my 2011 F250. It works quite well with both the AS and a dump trailer I have. It will retain settings for each trailer and you can name each.

Ford integrated brake controller

I have an F 250, 6.4L diesel, 2008 and a 2001, 30ft AS. We had disc brakes installed on the AS with a Kodiak electric/hydraulic pump. The system works flawlessly.

Hey Al, How's it going? I have an '08 F250 and pull a 34', I have never encountered any problems with the factory brake controller. FYI the controller is made by TEKONSHA the manufacturer of Prodigy.

Ford itbc

We have the 2010 F-250 (V-10 gas engine) with the FORD ITBC, pulling a 2006 30 ft. Classic with a Dexter E/H hydraulic disc brake system. The gain is set at 7.

FORD's ITBC system performs satisfactorily. We have had no problems with the system.
