Ikpills, while your information is correct for summertime conditions, the reverse is true in the winter.

Just think about it: Airstreamers won't need to use No 1 (kerosene blended) fuel grade in freezing conditions anymore. That is, IF they survive the fill-up procedure. (The caveat "don't touch the metal with your tongue" applies to other moist appendages as well.)

We just purchased a 2011 F-250 diesel. So far we are very happy with it, and looking forward to towing an Airstream behind it!

The Urea fluid (Blue Def) is sold where I work. It's less than $12.00 for 2.5 gallons. The tank on our truck should only have to be refilled every 8,000 miles are so. It's a total non-issue.

Truck is extremely quiet, and has no smelly exhaust. Drive's like a dream.

Which layout did you get? Towing capacity? What kind of fuel economy are you getting?
