putting in a bedrug this week, looking to add a cap soon, for the extra storage on trips and better diesel mileage (I think!)
Lynda, don't buy a cap for mpg...it will probably decrease due to added weight. Buy it for other reasons; dog, security, etc...
I have found a roll-up tonneau to be best as I use my truck for other purposes and find full access to the bed mandatory. If you have specific things to lock up, then a cap may be a good idea, but I find it limits what you can do with a truck. I snake a 30' cable through the stakes and can lock up bikes, kayaks, OB motor etc. Bottom line; is someone is determined, they will take it, whether you have a cap, a cable, or?
Use the truck for a bit, then decide if you need/want a cap...

We have a 06 Duramax with the 6 speed, and it tows our 25FB with ease in 6th gear. Our mileage is between 14 to 15.5 if we stay at 70mph or below. I know you will love it, and pray for many happy moments in your future!
God bless and keep you and yours!

Congratulations on your new TV and TT. You have a great combo. We have an '07 Chevy duramax crew cab and it is a great truck. Stay at 60 mph and you should be in the 15 mpg range towing. Good luck and happy 'streaming!

I had a blast towing the AS home, soooooo easy! Wow! Even the somewhat heavy traffic we encountered for a bit didn't bother me too much.
I found that when I put on my blinker, other drivers would change lanes or leave me room to move. Only one silly person sped up AFTER I put the blinker on - I had plenty of room to change lanes at that point - and passed me. What a nitwit! I was MUCH bigger than she was, good thing I noticed she was not being too smart and let her go. I prayed for her and those she encounters on the road, she is an accident waiting to happen if she is not more careful!
The truck and AS are just fab together, what a great team! So happy!!!
