Who needs a Corvette - perhaps the owner is involved with sports car racing and the Corvette is their racing vehicle, or, maybe they just want one.

Who needs a F650 - perhaps they own an excavation company and tow large trailers, or, maybe they just want one.

Who needs an Airstream - maybe they're rich and have more money than they know what to do with, or, maybe they just want one.

An F650 is quite a large truck but I'm sure they have their reasons.

Maybe the guy makes a living with the truck. The OP mentions warning lights.

Maybe a vehicle of the truck's GVW and towing capacity is required to move the backhoe the guy climbs on everyday to pay for the Andy's custard he was enjoying.

Regards,

JD

I've now counted three Freightliner tow vehicles in the last two years camping!

At least you don't have to worry about the tongue weight or overloading the axles with a F650 and an Airstream...

Folks - let's get back to discussing the merits of a F650 please. Personal comments should be sent via PM and AIR is not the appropriate venue for political commentary - thanks for understanding

Okay, I got a handle on it now. This thread is about extreme "overkill" when it comes to camping TV's, but why the sleeper cab on the Big Truck????? Anybody else think that's, um, redundant?

That is a pretty slick rig (I like the paint job), but the photo cracked me up because they don't even have to tow their Smart Car behind them. Instead, it just gets a piggyback ride on the back of the truck... sideways!
